A year after Fatima said goodbye to Pope Francis, when the canonization of Francisco and Jacinta Marto took place, a moment that touched Portugal and the Christian world, in addition to sealing the celebrations of the Centenary of the Apparitions, the Italian tenor, one of the most appreciated artists all over the world, he visited Fátima toasting pilgrims with his music.

Andrea Bocelli performed alongside French pianist Elizabeth Sombart and Ukrainian violinist Anastasiya Petryshak, under the musical direction of Carlo Bernini. The repertoire, composed of 11 themes, featured “Ave de Fátima”, performed by the Portuguese artist Ana Moura, in one of the most exciting moments of the recital.

Bocelli, who managed to make bel canto one of the most heard genres in the world, with such important successes as Con te Partirò, still performed plays such as Pietà de Stradella, Sancta Maria de Mascagni, Panis Angelicus by Frank, The Mission by Morricone, Ave Maria de Schubert and Agnus Dei de Bizet, among other beautiful songs.
