An exciting spectacle celebrated the life of Mary and her cultural representativeness as a woman and mother for all Brazilians. “Festival da Padroeira” (Patroness Festival) joined renowned artists of national music who performed a repertoire with famous songs about Mary. The event celebrated the commemorations of the jubilee of 300 years of the patron, which began on October 15, 2016.
The year of celebrations was opened by the project “Primavera Musical no Vale” (Musical Spring in The Valley) – a memorable performance, which featured tenor Andrea Bocelli, Youth Orchestra and Choir of São Paulo, as well as special guests such as Brazilian singer Daniel, soprano Maria Aleida Rodriguez and violinist Caroline Campbell, who together, under the regency of Carlo Bernini, thrill more than 70,000 people at the National Shrine of Aparecida (SP) and millions of Brazilians via the official TV and web channels of the Shrine.

In order to complete this year of celebrations, special performances were held on October 10 and 12, 2017, honoring the 300 years of the apparition of Nossa Senhora Aparecida, with the participation of several guests, among them Alcione, Agnaldo Rayol, Daniel, Elba Ramalho, Chitãozinho & Xororó, Michel Teló, Preta Gil, Paula Fernandes and Father Fábio de Melo, in an event also transmitted in national broadcast that fascinated everyone.
